The Thinker is a sculpture that was originally exhibited at Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2024.

Inspired by Rodin’s famous work, The Thinker symbolises the disabled experience of constantly encountering obstacles that do not exist for the able-bodied and having to figure out solutions past them. It also directly challenged why Waverley Council has yet to construct a continuous accessible path along the famous Bondi to Bronte coastal walk.

The Thinker resonated deeply with many, sparking conversations and reigniting momentum behind the Bondi Rollercoaster campaign, a mission to make the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk accessible for everyone. Please consider visiting their website and signing the petition: www.bondirollercoaster.com.au

Sculpture by the Sea is the world's largest free-to-the-public outdoor sculpture exhibition, visited by around 500,000 people annually.
